That’s Life
Jamie Johnson, Susanne Johnson

We get up early stay up late and give it your all twenty five hours a day
It’s be ok
Waiting tables trading stocks saving lives or playing rock and roll
We all get burned by that same ole sun it sets so pretty when the day is done
But that’s life there ain’t no certain way to live it
The further I get down the road I’m certain I don’t know which way to go
It’s ups and downs spin round and round keep me somewhere between lost and found
But that’s life I guess easy come easy go
The prettiest girl I’d ever seen moved to town from New Orleans
Next door to me
She was black and I was white but that little town wasn’t color blind
I don’t blame her for leaving it behind if only they could see through my eyes
